It is in the best interests of the association to offer a variety
of payment methods to ensure ease of payment for services by the
customer.
PHT provides a variety of rent and service charge payment methods
to tenants:
Internet & Telephone Banking

telephoning us on 01929 558477 during our opening hours.
Alternatively you can pay your rent over the internet by clicking
on this link: http://www.billpayment.co.uk/
For Both services you will need your 18 digit Giro card reference
number (found on your PHT payment card) Don't worry if you
have lost your card call us on 01929 558477 and we can order you a
new one.
Direct Debit
A
simple way for tenants to pay their rent and service charges is by
Direct Debit. This is our preferred method of payment, as it is
economical to administer and most efficient and easy for tenants.
Direct Debit payments can be paid on 1st or 15th of each month.
As our preferred method of payment, from time to time PHT will
promote direct debit payments to customers through a variety of
marketing campaigns offering incentives to customers where
applicable.
Post Office and PayZone outlet
Tenants may choose to pay their rent and service
charges at a local Post Office or PayZone outlet. There is no
charge direct to tenants for this service. PHT will issue plastic
payment cards to tenants to enable payments to be made using this
method. You will be able to pay rent and service charges by a
variety of payments methods including cash, debit card, and
personal cheque supported by a guarantee card.
PayZone is a
convenient way to pay your rent at your local shops. There are over
30,000 outlets with dedicated PayZone terminals across the UK, all
located in newsagents, convenience stores and forecourts, selected
for convenient locations, long opening hours and friendly service.
PayZone retailers are open early morning, late night, 7 days a
week. A list of payZone outlets across the UK is available from
http://www.payZone.co.uk/.
Please note that payments made at a Post Office or PayZone
outlet take time to reach our bank and therefore must be paid on or
before noon on the last Monday of each fortnight. To assist tenants
in meeting these deadlines we provide a rent calendar for easy
reference.
Housing Benefit Payments
The
Association will accept direct payment of housing benefit from
Local Authorities. It remains the tenants responsibility to ensure
that housing benefit covers the rent due, where any short falls
occur then the tenant must arrange to make up the difference by
using one of the payment methods listed above.
Those tenants who choose to have housing benefit paid direct to
themselves, must make their own arrangements to ensure this money
is paid to the Association to cover any rent due.
It is common practice for housing benefit payments made by local
authorities to be paid four weekly in arrears.
Supporting People Charges
The Association will accept payment for support charges from the
administrating body of Supporting People.
