Dorset HomeChoice

Dorset HomeChoice is a new way of finding a home to rent which
lets you apply for a home of your choice instead of having to wait
for an offer that somebody else thinks is suitable.
Purbeck Housing Trust operates the scheme in partnership with
Purbeck District Council and other housing associations with homes
for rent in this area. All available homes are advertised every
week and displayed in a range of locations e.g. Council Offices,
Town and Parish Councils, along with at the reception of PHT
offices. The advertisement is also available to download on this
page. This document lists:
- The homes available;
- Their location and the weekly rent;
- Any preferences or restrictions
Dorset HomeChoice is a simple and clear way of finding a home
for rent from most housing associations in the Purbeck area . It's
designed to give applicants a choice over where they live and to
make sure that those in the greatest need are given the highest
priority.
Dorset HomeChoice uses a banding system - Green, Amber and Red -
to identify housing need with those in the Green band being given
the highest priority and those in the Red band the lowest. To see
more about how the Housing Register is split into 4 Bands and
who is eligible to apply, please read the document Access
to Housing Allocations Policy Summary.
To see how your housing need is assessed when you are on
the Housing Register, and provides suggestions on what you can do
to improve your current situation, please read the document
Reasonable and Additional Preference for applicants.
To bid please telephone 01929 558411 or e-mail
homechoice@purbeckhousing.co.uk
leaving your name, registration number and advertised property
details.
